Let's Chant

Many people chant prayers any mantra given by our Guru. The simple logic behind this is to please the dear lord. We chant for mercy, we chant for salvation, we chant for peace of mind.  We chant to attend the love supreme godhead. Everyone has his own reasons for chanting. Chanting is very easy devotional service one can offer to God.

Chanting is the devotional service which leads us to happiness. Many Vedic kinds of literature state that chanting is the purest devotional service one can offer in the Kali-yuga. In Srimad Bhagavatam, it is given that chanting the holy name only for once with modesty, can attain the love of Godhead. Chanting can convert one cruel, sadist into a spiritual being. To read the full story regarding how chanting with consistency can change your life click here.

All the Vedas state that chanting is the foremost devotional service. In other yugas, people were having a long life like really long life, high patience and and purest form of modesty, and true determined love towards the lord. They used to chant for ages with no food, no water just embracing oneself towards the devotion for God. This is not possible in Kali-Yuga. Life span is negligible compared to other Yugas. People are not modest enough. Selfish and sadist nature is the hidden gem of every person. So Vedas have given you the option to chant for few times(atleast once) in day but regularly.

Practice Makes A Man Perfect
I think everyone here is familiar with this saying, let's understand it in a different spiritual way. You may have some questions like what is the connection of this with spirituality. Let me explain...
It is given in Bhagavad Gita that at the time of death, consciousness developed by a living being, carries him to his next body. Also, one who chants the name of Supreme Lord at the time of death or even one who thinks about the Supreme Lord attains the eternal abode. I know it sounds easy but trusts me it's not. At the time of death, immense pain, sorrow, and mixed feeling, thousands of thoughts floating in your mind it's not easy to chant Holy name.
You may have seen many monks, sadhus and many other people with bead bag, chanting and praying. Guru Shisha Parampara says that one should chant a total of 16 rounds of prayer bead(Jaap Mala), more than that is absolutely fine. Yes, their only motive is to make chanting, a habit. Many Initiated monks are so habitual to that their exclaimed reactions also include holy name. They believe that making it a habit will help them at the time of death. So that at the time of death holy name automatically strikes into one's mind.
There are many reasons, Chanting for mercy, satisfaction, to please god, peace of mind, for salvation, some of them chant for no good reason they just chant.
Let's take a challenge. Let's chant any prayer you like for 11 times a day for a month. Notice the change. I dont know whether it will help or not but their is no harm for sure. Comment down below if you notice any change. Lets keep this blog short and sweet and to the point. This is what  I think, you may disagree but I write what I observe.

Go and Inquire

The human being is different from every other living being. Intelligence is what makes humans differ from other living beings. Intelligence to choose between what is right and what is wrong. Also, intelligence to think out of the box.         It important for a human being to control his mind. Not to act like a cat and dogs. That is a human being. He should be inquisitive. Why the things around me are happening and he should learn from it. If he does not inquire or if he does not take education, then what is the difference between him and the dog. He has got the opportunity of human life he should use it wisely by gaining useful knowledge and be inquisitive. he should avoid keeping himself in dog status. Not to use this human birth simply for eating, sleeping, sex life and defending. Dog's barking disturbs people, the dog does not inquire about how to control barking, but in our case, we can inquire. Therefore the Vedic injunction is 'Go and Inquire'. We shoul…

Accept and Forgive!

One who has the ability to accept and to forgive, has the most peaceful relationships; here relationships includes everything that leads to a happy life, a peaceful mind, fewer problems, absolutely no stress, etc. Yes, I know this has no direct spiritual context but if you look at any damn thing in the correct dimension you can find that thing spiritual. Peace of mind is very important for spiritual consciousness. First, one should be clear with the motive of his life, what is the purpose of human life. For that, you should Go and Inquire. Then a peaceful mind is a next step.  Lets cut this short, I just wanted to explain to you that, why the ability to accept and to forgive is to be mastered (Just for the sake of a peaceful mind and fewer relationship/social). Social says it all. How you tackle with other people in your society? What is your attitude towards the people of society? and many other things. So let's get this started.Ego, greed, lust, rage, illusion, and envy are the …
